Timeline of feedback to my motivational work....
Disclaimer: In 2010 I attained a new spiritual name and made it my legal name in the Spring of 2012-Akhmose Ari* My former name was Khalil Ismail and my artistic name was "KIMM Fenex." Be it on a personal, professional, or artistic level at this time I am fully using one name-my name of Akhmose Ari*
Also, the feedback listed below "is not" in chronological order (most recent first). I have started listing with the older dates leading up to the present day. The reason for this is so that as you read you have the first option of seeing how my journey has grown and continues to grow. Taking you along with me sorta* May you join me in that. Thanks & enjoy the read:

Peace KIM... Yes, I was moved by your choice to send peace, love and high vibrations out to the universe. I don't know your struggle or your hustle, but it was clear to me you are not abusing drugs. It appears you're not dealing drugs, robbing or choosing to do harm. I appreciated your choice and spirit. I did not have anything tangible to give you (money or otherwise), but I was moved to find a way to help you. Only judging by your words, you are far too talented and enlightened to have to resort to beggary. Your articulation and voice projection can bring you far more abundance than you may be aware. I saw you using your voice for theater (stage) or motivational speaking. I will be sending you some contacts and information that I hope you find useful in springboarding your talents to serve you better. Until then, be blessed.

Hi,
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your message with me on the subway yesterday. It has been a terribly rough week for me and my family- but by Friday morning things were coming under control, turning around, and looking up. So, hearing you on the subway was definitely a serendipitous moment. I was especially moved by your words that prompted me to reflect on the hardship, realize that I have grown stronger from enduring it, and need move forward in a positive light and love.
I was also wondering if you would be willing to type out or share your subway words with me so that I could send your message to my family on the other side of the country. You have an important message that people should hear. Keep doing what you believe in.
Best Wishes

So wonderful to hear from you!
My first question:
Kim, for those who haven't had the opportunity to experience your work in person, could you please give us the message you bring to people on the trains?
OK! This will be fun, and I'll ask 4 or 5 questions, depending on the flow.
Blessings of peace and light,
Carol

Hey KIMM,
The reason I gave you my card is for the fact I see that you are not intimidated or afraid of public speaking. During the course of the last 10 years I have connected with different backgrounds of individuals. The nature of the business I'm involved with now is strongly based on client relations, marketing, customer service and management training. I always keep an open ear regarding talent and opportunities to build a strong network with many things. Some of the things you were speaking at the time connected with my daily reading so I figure I give an opportunity.
Thanks for responding, hope to hear from you soon.

Peace brother and Happy Birthday! It is a proud accomplishment, another year God has given you life. Not to be taken light. You inspired me yesterday afternoon and a part of my forever is embedded on that train.
I plan numerous events of various shapes and sizes. I don't know how I can incorporate you yet but I do know I want you to be involved in the future of things I do. Your much of a positive brother has too much to offer for us not to cultivate a relationship. I hope to speak to you soon again in person and let's make the future bright for all, together.

Yeah man...It was great seeing you too. I like to think that those type of run-ins are not merely coincidences but an event to pay attention to. You have such a creative and go-getter spirit...truly inspirational. I was going to email you straight away but you got to it first....I wanted to know if I could make you the member of the month for The Bloc Initiative. I want to start showcasing members so that people can see that there are real people behind these services. What you were doing today was more than a hussle, it was a service to humanity. You are trying to spread hope and inspiration. That is a story to be told. If you have time in the coming week, or whenever, to sit down, I would love to just chat it up with you and showcase you as The BLOC Initiative's Member of the Month.. I will be posting it on my site as well as to the facebook group. Let me know what you think. Congrats on all your successes. You summed it up...this year is the one that you will make and shape...I feel the same way. Let's combine our energies toward that goal.

Hey Ish,
I finally got a first draft done. It's taken me so long because of other stuff I had to do and I didn't want to rush through it. I attached it for your review. It is going to have this lead-in:
"Two weeks ago I was on the 1 train headed uptown after a meeting. It was the usual atmosphere; strangers sitting quietly next to strangers, immersing themselves in whatever activity they’ve chosen to occupy their time. A man entered the car and made his pitch for why his fellow riders should give him money. Some gave, some didn’t. At 42nd street the man got off and another got on. He began his pitch almost immediately, right as the doors dinged shut. His voice was strong, but not invasive, his words scripted, but sincere. He sounded different than the man who came before him. Something in his voice intrigued me. He wasn’t asking for anything, he was giving something. As he worked his way through the crowd I recognized him. He was my friend. He was a fellow BLOC Member. His name is KIMM Fenex and I had the privilege to interview him as our BLOC Member of the Month and ask him about his motivation and exactly what he was doing that afternoon on the 1 train."
then go right into the attached interview...
Thanks again for sitting down with me.

Hi Kim,
It was wonderful to meet you today. You positively impacted my day. As I said I think what your doing is really amazing and I think that it's something that this world needs to do more of; human interaction… There is too much focus on the future - we are constantly catering to it, never focusing on the present, and just being.
Thanks again for being a great human being, and a great artist.
Enjoy!
All the best,

Hey, I'm not sure if you remember but last month I bought one of you're personalized scrolls.
I found it uncanny how well the scroll matched my feeling regarding mother nature. I keep the scroll in one of the picture holders in my wallet.
I find myself reading it whenever I reach into my wallet, it reads:
"Watch an animal for a few minutes today
you may just lean a life lesson or two. The next time that
it rains, allow a few droplets to fall upon your tongue& taste it
look up at the sky tonight. Allow your palm to brush against some
newly sprung leaves today. In short, enjoy & respect nature &
her beauty."
I've always felt an intense bond with plants and animals. I aware of the good energy leaves, grass the wind gives off.
Even when nature deals harsh blows I always feel good vibes during & after a storm.
I guess the lesson I learned from your scroll & nature is that positive energy is constantly around, even when the world can be cruel their are people such as yourself
spreading love, and that we should celebrate or at least acknowledge this energy.
Thank you for sharing your good vibes, it's something I'm sure I will never forget, keep it up
One Love.

Hey,
So I met you probably about two weeks ago, I believe outside union square train stop. I'm not sure you remember me, because you probably see hundreds of people every day, but I was the girl with the phoenix earning and my gift was "athletics". Its ok if it doesn't ring a bell!!
But, I guess I just have thought about you every now and again since that day. Right now I'm in a huge transition period of my life. I feel as though I'm searching for how I'm going to live my life and by what ideals. I could tell how at peace you were and positive, and I guess I was just wondering kinda what do you believe it and how are you inspired to live so positively.
So if you have the time to share, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks and have a great day!

I'm pleased to have met you and be a witness to your expression of convictions through 'motivational art.'
Thanks again for your words of encouragement.
I trust you understand that my inquiry regarding personal infomration about you was not meant to be offensive; I accept that as an artist, you are not responsible for my experience of your craft, but I wanted a context in which to contemplate the message I selected.
Having some insight into your environmental/familial background expands the meaning (I believe) behind your words in your message vs. only having my own interpretation...
Your committment to repairing the world in the manner in which you choose to do so is a gift in and of itself - I'm honored to have an opportunity to support your journey.

Hello,
My name is Kevin Valentine. I was in New York yesterday and bought a scroll with a message. This email was there. the message was that there is a special talent that each of us has and must share with the world.
For years I have been trodding the unbeaten path and pouring much heart, soul, and mind into music. However, with seemingly no results other than I have become quite adept in my musical skills. But i often find myself asking "is anybody listening?", "does anyone truly understand the message in the art?"
But I will share this music with you today.

When I bought them you told me that some people write you because they are very amazed of what yor are saying. Ya, you're right with that. I opened it right now and I was crying because what I read was so beautiful. I sayed to me that I want to read it in a certain or special moment. And I did. I received one of your decorated messages for my birthday from someone who had purchased it in greenwich. Your email is on the front so I finally got around to actually sending you a message. Even though I know its not some kind of "spiritual message", it helped me get closure on something in my life. The note spoke about doing things to warm hearts. About a year ago, the person who I was very close with, and loved, moved away after I had screwed things up between us. For all this time I was too big of a coward to explain myself to him and get closure, but soon after I received this note I got the balls to message him, and let him know how I was feeling. A few months later and still no reply, but for the first time in a long time I don't care, and I finally feel like I'm ready to move on. Thank you, and I hope good things come your way.

hi stranger... it's been a few years since I last saw you in Union Square. I still have that note/fortune you gave me...
"Greetings * noone knows everything yet, everyone knows something! and yes, that includes you as well my love. Inside of you, there is a unique gift and ability that only you can and should share with this world. Know that this makes you equal to any and everyone else on this planet. aknowledge & cherish this! Be Well * "
I still read it from time to time. it inspires me to keep going, keep working on my goals (and gifts).
I regret not contacting you sooner. I hope this email finds you well :)

Subject: QUESTION
Hey Kim, I bought one of your little notes last year an Union Square and there is one line I don't understand. Maybe you can tell me what you mean. I like what you wrote and I really want to know what the last sentence means. Thanks so much
greetings,
Christina

Aloha Kahlil, thanks for reaching out. I appreciate what you're doing with your MAPs. I try to do the same with my music. www.soundcloud.com/meghannwright. Check out the songs The Race and Diamonds Blaze especially for a motivational message. Also feel free to friend me on facebook if you like. :)

Okay, I bought one of them at Union Square last year. I didn't open it right away. I just took it home and saved it in my room because I thought I should wait till a special moment. But I don't really know why I thought that...So a few moths later I was in a situation when I really felt bad and I didn't know what to do because I was so confused and I couldn't handle myself in a way anymore and I had always fights with a very close friend. And then I remembered the little note and opened it. I was sooo amazed and touched by what I read in this moment! I immediatly felt better. First I cried because I felt so bad and then I cried because what you wrote gave and still gives me so much strength. That's why this is so important and special to me. Thank you

Subject: Best Pic
Hey Kahil,
Good to hear from you.
I still have what I consider to be the best pic of the few I took the other day on my computer. Here it is in two versions (one small, one larger for printing, etc.).
Was fun running into to you. If you have anything online or want to take a minute to sharewhat you were up to I'd be curious. Love all the spontaneous artistic expressions of the city and enjoy capturing the ones I can.
Peace,
Tom

...I hesitated to write because I’m in a kind of stasis - I know it’s mercury moving retrograde but moving forward is so hard when you feel like you are standing still. Your email sort of pushed me to take stock of what is important and what to spend my time on.
I’m glad you are still keeping on.

Good night Mr. Ari!
I'm the one on the train who took the photo and the video of you today. If you
don't mind may I please put your video on my blog? I found it to be very
inspirational. I'm sorry that I did not capture your whole
speech.

Akhmose Ari should be in every school, dojo and community center nation
wide. While his charge was to speak to a group of youth in BedStuy, Brooklyn about the
question "What makes a man?," Akhmose spoke confidently and spiritually about
notions of manhood in the context of womanhood and femininity. Without
emasculating men, or hypersexualizing women he spoke to the necessity of balance
within each gender against the backdrop of a world in blurred gender lines.
Youth, adults, men, and women will benefit from having this calm
and centering experience. Ari speaks from a place of professionalism and
expertise fused with lived experience and consideration.
He will be the most sought after trainer and voice of a generation in the next five years.
